A return to simplicity

We founded this business as a way to return to simple, nourishing ingredients and processes that had been ancestral tradition for thousands of years. No polyunsaturated fats, over-processed plant compounds, and unnecessary greenwashed ingredients. It seemed as if simplicity was gone, in favor of profit. We don’t believe that health needs to be complicated, and that the body is a self-healing, self-regulating entity. The best way we can support that is through skincare that is biologically appropriate and reflects ancestral wisdom.

I remember when I had entered into a journey towards holistic living and I realized I couldn’t seem to find a sunscreen that wasn’t filled with easily-oxidized oils. I began to make my own mineral sunscreen and was in love with making skin-loving products from there. Bene Organics was then born in my small kitchen with patience and prayer embedded into each step. That eventually branched off into deodorant, body butter, wound salve, and more.

I knew that there were many aspects about a business I wanted to do differently. Transparency around ingredients, sourcing, safety, and effectiveness were all boxes on my checklist. I wanted to know that if my future child decided to go to town in my bathroom cabinet - that it wouldn’t be an issue. I wanted to know that if I wanted to use these remedies on newborn skin, all would be well. I wanted safety, peace, healing, and wisdom.

From there, I knew there needed to be a return to tradition.

A return to nature.

A return to simplicity.
